A UK teenager raised eyebrows at his high school prom after arriving at the bash with a body bag as part of a macabre stunt.
“They’ll be thinking about this for years to come,” the boy’s mother Laura Jameson, 38, who helped orchestrate the prank, told Kennedy News.
Her son Lucas, who is in the 11th grade, is said to have wanted to make a memorable entrance into the dance.
After ruling out hiring a helicopter, the young man decided to jump from a van as a corpse – an idea that came from a family friend.
His mother called it a “brilliant idea.”
“It’s always great to be original and think of something different,” said the mother of four, who ordered three body bags — for Lucas and two friends — and hooded face masks for bag carriers at preparation for the son. grand entrance
However, Laura, an autism support officer, feared she could get into trouble for buying such dodgy items, explaining: “If someone had seen me, I would probably have called for the police to come round. “
Lucas’ friends were also reluctant at first about performing the strange stunt; however, they eventually agreed after he told them that they could not accompany him to prom if they did not attend.
Before the party, the Briton’s mother informed the teachers of their plan so they could take pictures – and also, apparently, so they wouldn’t call the authorities.
When the big day arrived on July 6, Lucas’ stepfather Dean Jameson and two of their friends donned hoods, drove them to the scene and helped them into the body bag.
They then took the fake corpses out of the bag and laid them on the ground before unzipping them and the sunglasses-wearing guys came out like a boy band at the start of a music video, as seen in a video on Facebook.
It’s safe to say they had it in the bag.
“Everyone said it was the best entrance they had ever seen. All the teachers said it was absolutely original,” said Laura. “It’s better than just your traditional fancy car; I’ve never seen it done before.
“I think they’ll always remember that, and I think everybody else will too.”
